The Center is funded by corporations, foundations and individuals, including scores of our alumni,
offering (tax deductible) gifts for support of the Center and The
Politics & Journalism Semester.
A complete listing of donors is published in our annual report,
which can be found on the Annual
Report page on this site.
Major donors over the years have included:
The Ethics & Excellence in Journalism Foundation, which donated almost a half-million dollars over ten years, and The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, which provided major support for six years. The Center takes great pride in the support of our alumni and many of their parents. An alum and her mother, in 2005, provided the largest single personal gift in the history of our program, $20,000 (they asked not to be identified.)
