Each student chosen for a Politics & Journalism Semester class
is assigned to a major Washington news bureau, working there full-time
for 16 weeks. The participating bureaus grant their interns time
off to attend the twice-weekly morning seminars on politics that
comprise the Center’s primary purpose: teaching future political
reporters about politics.
Most of our bureaus have been with us since our first class commenced
in the Fall of 1989. Students report and write
for publication, along with performing news research work and providing production
assistance (in broadcast and cablecast bureaus.)
News organizations that have hosted our students in recent years
are listed here, with links to their web sites. |
